YMCA Perth are delighted to have BHP Billiton Iron Ore as a partner on the building and operation of these two significant projects for the Pilbara region over the coming year. Both organisations acknowledge the necessity to provide much needed services into both towns and also understand the value of identifying other community needs and responding where appropriately    

YMCA Perth as an organisation has come to specialise in the delivery of Family and Childrens Services across Western Australia. The last 10 years has seen us gain extensive experience in the provision of regional child care services.

 

We operate a number of Early Learning Centres across the state all of which are accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) and meet the standards of The Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS).

 

Our approach and philosophy to childcare is based around the YMCA Early Stars brand which is inspired by  the teaching principles of Reggio Emilia and guides us in all aspects of child care. The underlying principle is that we consider children as unique, competent individuals who learn in their own individual way.    

 

The quality of care experienced by children in our centres depends significantly upon the qualifications, skills and knowledge of the child care professionals who work in the centres.  All staff have a recognised qualification in child care and meet the minimum requirements of holding clean police and working with children checks.

   

Our expertise in child care also extends into training as we are also a registered training organisation for child care workers in Western Australia.
